CAPT. JIM ANSON

Captain Jim Anson specializes in back country and freshwater fishing. He has established more than 170 world records as a guide and angler. Capt. Anson has won the Met tournament four times as Master angler, plus Shark Master, Spin, Fly, Plug and Light general trophies, is certified by the International Game Fishing Association, and is a 2004 recipient of IGFA’s lifetime achievement award. He fishes out of Flamingo Everglades National Park for tarpon, redfish, snook, trout, and shark, and also leads charters for peacock bass out of South Miami. He hosts the Florida Sportsman show Saturday mornings on WMCU 1080 A.M. Capt. Anson will speak about Fishing Florida Bay at Flamingo National Park. During his talk, he will also demonstrate his Capt. Jim Anson Signature Series Evolution fishing rods which already have set 21 IGFA world records.
